On April 7th, the Rogue River Watershed Council is hosting the World Fish Migration Day Festival in Grants Pass, and along with an educational festival, the World Fish Migration Day 5k. The race will start at 11am on the track at North Middle School. From there, participants are running along Gilbert Creek towards to leave the school grounds, then run along Highland Ave, loop through the neighborhoods and then come back to the school the way they came. Awards will be given in 10 year age groups.
The day continues with a free kids run at noon. Each kid will receive a ribbon, and there is a costume contest for fish migration themed costumes. Stay for the outreach fair and the evening presentation on the pacific lamprey.
