Race Preview: 2018 Sunriver March Mudness (Sunriver)

If you are looking for a fun family event over spring break, consider the Sunriver March Mudness. This fun event is a 1.5 mile run for ages 4 and up, including grandparents. Presented by the Sunriver Owners Association, the course has a half-mile run/walk with obstacles and multiple mud pits to run, crawl and jump through. Participants can expect to get muddy, over and over again.

Obstacles include walls of varying heights, tires to step through, a spider web weave, sloth crossing, mud crawl and over & under obstacles. The main obstacles are the mud pits and formed dirt berms. The goal’s are to have fun and to try each obstacle, however, if it’s more fun to skip some of the obstacles, that’s okay. The course is intended to be family-friendly, so participants are encouraged to take their time and enjoy themselves. The course and a list of obstacles can be found here.

There are two waves, a competitive and non competitive wave. A portion of the proceeds from this event will support Central Oregon’s American Cancer Society Relays for Life, the Sunriver Police Department Shop With a Cop program and the Sunriver Fire Department Stair Climb Fund.
