It happened to me the other day… one of the most obnoxious and run-killing things that can happen…my playlist got stuck repeating one song over and over and over again. I was in the groove and it happened mid-run. The second time the song played I was annoyed, but I knew I could get through four minutes of frustration. But then it started for the third time. I had to stop, wrangle my phone out of my flip belt, go into my music app and fix the playlist. At this point, I am annoyed, frustrated and totally out of my running groove. That is why I was super excited to try the Jaybird Freedom2 earphones.
My Jaybirds arrived and I anxiously opened the box and was thrilled to find four different ear bud sizes. I appreciate this as I find headphones to have obnoxiously large ear buds. I found the perfect fit for my ears and popped them on to the head chord. I wrapped them in and they fit perfectly. I jumped around in an attempt to knock them loose but they were staying put! From there I opened up my phone and quickly and seamlessly synced it through my
It was super simple and within a few minute I was ready to hit the road. I was completely expecting the earphones to slip from my ears but they never did. Even with sweat and the Oregon rain, they stayed in place and they stayed working, despite being soaking wet. This is necessary for our beautiful weather patterns in Portland.
The great thing about these, probably my favorite part, is that I can change songs and the volume with an easy click on the headphones. That means no repeating songs, no songs that I thought were a good idea to run to but weren’t, and I am able to pump up the music as I conquer beast hills along my runs. Music drives me in my run and this is a really key aspect to me. I don’t ever feel stuck in a song or at a volume. And if I wanted to, I could answer a phone call as I ran, which is pretty neat!
Once you go Jaybird Freedom2, you won’t go back. I can’t imagine running with chords attached to me now. I also can’t imagine not having complete control of what I am listening to. You can tell that these headphones were created by runners. They thought of absolutely everything, from comfort to longevity, to accessibility and ease of use.
