The largest, and oldest snowshoe event will be taking place on Sunday, January 14, 2018. X-Dog Events presents this lovely 8k and 4k snowshoe extravaganza, which takes place at the White River West Sno Park, near Mt. Hood, Oregon. Over 250 participants are expected at the 2018 event. Never tried a snowshoe event before? Don’t worry – if you can walk 5-miles, you shouldn’t have a problem finishing either distance. You may choose from the 8k or 4k event.

The 8k event is a 2-loop course through the White River Canyon. Participants will travel out of the sno-park and travel all the way to the very end of the canyon, then return. It’s a narrow loop, and depending on weather, the course may change. The 4k distance also begins and the White River sno-park and will travel through the upper White River Canyon.

Packets and same day event registration will occur race day beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the White River West Sno-Park. Awards will be presented to the top overall, and age division, finishers for both the 8k and 4k distance. After the race, stick around for the age group awards and enjoy some treats and, just maybe, get lucky and win something during the random prize giveaway. The events begin at 10 a.m.

Date: Sunday, January 14, 2018
Distance: 8k, 4k
Start Time: 10 a.m.
Cost: $30 for the 8k, $25 for the 4k until 12/27/17, then $5 more.
