Small New Year’s Day Races: 2018 HOTV Resolution Run (Corvallis) & Hangover Run on Salmon Creek Trail (Vancouver, WA)

Many people are making a new year’s resolution to exercise more, so why not start off the new year on the right foot, as it were, with a free 5k in Corvallis! The 2018 Resolution Run 5k run and 2k run/walk starts at the Thompson Shelter in Avery Park at 10am. After the run, hot drinks and snacks will be served. Even though the run is free, please sign up if you’re going to be there so that the organizers can plan for correct numbers of people.

Further to the north, just across the border in Vancouver, the Clark County Running Club holds it’s kickoff to the new year with their Hangover Run on Salmon Creek Trail. There aren’t many details (aside from a 10am start at the Salmon Creek Trail – 1112 NE 117th St.), but there does not appear to be a fee. It would be a great time to start of renew your annual Clark County Running Club membership for the year. Though the info is limited, the event itself is typically well-attended.
