Race Preview: 2017 First Run 10k/5k (Eugene)

If you are looking to get one last race completed at literally the last minute of 2017 or you want to start out 2018 with a run already in the books, you are in luck. You can do either of these or BOTH if you want to participate in Level 32 Racing’s fun running event, the  First Run 10k/5k Run/Walk on December 31st and January 1st.

Come out to Eugene to ring in 2018 on December 31st at 11:59PM in a fun, memorable way. Or roll out of bed on January 1st for the race at 10:00AM. Or do something crazy .. Do both!! If you register for both, you’ll get a discount on the race cost and you’ll be eligible for extra awards (based upon the cumulative time from each race) for taking on this challenge.

Both days and both distances will start at the Valley River Inn. You can run, jog, skip, or walk .. just come do it! This year’s event will be chip timed and there will be special themed prizes awarded to the top finishers. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each age division and everyone will be eligible for random prizes. If you’d like to take a peek at the race courses, you can check out the 5k here  and the 10k here. The courses are flat and very pretty.

After the event has finished, you can enjoy the post-race celebration with refreshments and special bar pricing hosted by McGrath’s Fish House on New Year’s Day. This should be a fun way to say goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018!!
