Race Preview: 2017 Jingle Bell Run (Eugene)

The holiday season is in full swing!  But with that, race season has slowed down significantly.  Cold weather and family obligations make this time of year hard to get out for a fun run.  But, if you are looking for a fun race and even one to get your family involved in, there are Jingle Bell Runs in about every corner of the state.  If you are in the Eugene area, the Level 32 Racing Jingle Bell Run on December 3rd is the one for you.

With jingle bells provided and three different race distance options, this race offers a festively fun time for everyone.   This is the 11th year of the race and proceeds go to benefit the local Parkside Community Preschool.  The race features a 12K, 8K, and 5K options for adults and Jingle Bell Jaunt 400 meter run for kiddos.  Starting at Maurie Jacobs Park and following along the Willamette River, this course offers great scenery.  The 12K will run a combination of the 5K and 8K course, two times through.

Along the course all participants can grab candy canes which can later be turned in for prizes.  As for awards, the top three male and female finishers in each distance will get a prize as well as the top three in each age group.

You can register in person at the Eugene Running Store or the day of the race.  There is no online registration.
