Be Stink, Blister, and Chafe-free with products from 2Toms

As a runner, you probably already know about some of 2Toms products. If you don’t, let me introduce you. I became a 2Toms convert when I was suffering from chronic blisters on my feet. It was so bad I would develop blisters on top of my blisters! After trying a variety of products with no success, I finally found 2Toms BlisterShield. 2Toms saved my feet and my running!

Fast forward a few years and now 2Toms has branched out into more products that all runners need – products that help eliminate odors. Now you can get Stink Free Sports Detergent and Stink Free Shoe and Gear Spray. Between running and my job as a Personal Trainer, I wear a lot of workout clothes and my body is very efficient at cooling itself. Translation: I sweat. A lot! There have been days that I throw on a clean tech shirt and end up throwing it into the laundry for another washing as it still stinks! Because tech fabrics hang on to that stink more than other fabrics, it is a must to find detergent designed to get the stink out, not one that adds a fresh-smelling odor to just cover up the stink. 2Toms has come up with a solution.

Stink Free Sports Detergent uses a high-end residue lifter to restore clothing performance and breathability.

• Contains no perfume or phosphates
• Safe on all high performance fabrics
• Residue free
• Removes sweat stains
• Safe for high efficiency washing machines

I’ve been using Stink Free Sports Detergent on my running and workout clothes for the past few weeks. The positives are: 1) My clothes smell clean, but do not have a perfume-y smell. 2) The amount of detergent needed is quite small, so it lasts longer than the same size of regular detergent. 3) I haven’t noticed any change in the fabrics (color and elasticity is still the same.) The only negative is that I have a couple of older clothing items that I probably should toss – due to the fact that I haven’t been able to get the stink out, but I just haven’t been able to part with them. I put them to the test with 2Toms.

Even after soaking them for several hours in the Stink Free Sports Detergent, they were not truly refreshed. I guess at some point, you just have to say goodbye to certain items. My overall opinion on the Stink Free Sports Detergent is that it great for regular use and keeping items fresh. I will definitely use it on a regular basis so that I don’t end up with those clothing items that have reached the point of no return.

I also tried the Stink Free Spray. This spray, like the detergent, doesn’t mask odors with perfume, but neutralizes it. I sprayed it in several pairs of shoes and it worked well. You do have to use it regularly, otherwise when you sweat in those shoes again you’ll be back where you started. I have only used this in my shoes, but you can also spray it on sports gear. If you have kids in sports, this is a must-have to keep the stink out of your house. Stink Free Spray is also recommended for boots, gloves, sports bags, lockers, etc.

Blister shield

2Toms also sent me some BlisterShield and SportsShield. These are both products I highly recommend from both former and current experience. The BlisterShield is the best product out there for blister prevention – although it can be a bit messy. It is a powder that you put in your socks before running, hiking, etc. While I highly recommend it, I also recommend you be careful not to spill the powder – especially on wood floors. It can create a bit of an ice rink because the powder is so effective at reducing friction. Yes, I am speaking from experience. And, yes, the result was comical! After my little spill, I began putting the BlisterShield in my socks while I was in my garage or outside on my porch.

SportsShield comes in a liquid roll-on or single pack towelettes to prevent chafing. While I have used the roll-on before, I had never tried the towelettes. I decided I like the towelettes much better. They are a one use product, but it is easier to control how much you put on. The product isn’t sticky or visible. It just makes your skin feel really smooth and it does an excellent job of preventing chafing.

If you are active, you need 2Toms! With such a variety of quality items that really work, I can say with confidence that 2Toms is the real deal. And, to make it even better, their prices are very reasonable! If you haven’t tried 2Toms yet, what are you waiting for?
