Race Preview: 2017 Jingle Bell 5k Run/Walk (Bend)

There aren’t always a lot of motivators to run outside when winter comes in Oregon, but The Jingle Bell 5k Run/Walk in Bend kicks off the Bend Christmas parade every year and will get you out the door as well as support a great cause. In addition to the 5k, there is a 1 mile option which is great for the kiddos to participate in.

Dress up for this race (and dress WARM) and jingle all the way with the bells you get with registration. Strollers and pets are both welcome and 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Arthritis Foundation, which affects 1 in 4 Americans.

Meet up at First Interstate Bank in downtown and enter the holiday costume contest or  the Holiday Sweater contest before the race! There is even a best dog costume category. After that, the Kids Fun Run With the Elves begins on the corner of Wall & Newport where the kids can enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies. After the kids get back, it’s time for the Jingle Bell 5k runners, followed by the walkers and people with strollers and dogs.

Consider upgrading to the Jingle Bell Express Pass when you register, as this includes express packet pick up and gear check, a unique race bib, some Jingle Bell Run socks, and your shirt and jingle bells. Quantities are limited, so register now.

There’s also a Jingle Bell Run in Portland the day after (see our race preview here) so do them both or pick what works for you!
