Do you ever find yourself in the Eugene area the first Saturday of the month? Wanna run or walk Pre’s Trail with a researcher from the University of Oregon? U of O has been hosting the Run with a Reseracher Run/Walk.
The beauty of this run is that if you have commitment issues, there is no sign up required. Just show up at the “O” Desk at Erb Memorial Union and do it! You’ll be led by one of U of O’s leading researchers (you can check out who they are on the University of Oregon website in the Run with a Researcher information) and you’ll head out together past the libraries and research labs and then onto Pre’s Trail, which was inspired by the legendary Steve Prefontaine. You can choose between a 3.1 mile walk or a 4.5 mile run and both routes will be flat.
Run Oregon has previewed this free running option already here. However, there will be a special Run with a Researcher run/walk coming up on a Saturday that is NOT the first Saturday, and that is going to happen on Saturday, October 28th. This run is specifically set to coincide with homecoming and the UO Innovation Summit. This summit occurs on October 27th and it’s an organized group of exhibits, workshops, and performances that highlight “innovation” in the latest trends in science, technology, media, and more. So come on out and try to make it for this fun weekend in Eugene. Running in Oregon is so scenic in the Fall!
