If you are a fan of evening races, check out the 2nd Annual Dia De Los Muertos Night Run in Newport. This 5K is meant to honor loved ones who have passed, as is the tradition of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead.) At this 5K, you are encouraged to bring an item, like a picture, that is a memory of your loved one for the Ofrenda. Ofrendas are traditionally set up during this holiday to remember and honor ancestors.

This run/walk celebration of the lives of those who have passed includes music, art, and fun. Participants will receive a one of a kind finisher medal and a free Rogue beer or non-alcoholic drink from Rogue Ales. The first 75 to register will receive a free t-shirt. All others may purchase a shirt for $15.

Experience a sense of community and tradition at the Oregon Coast this October and register for Ardor Adventures’ Dia De Los Muerto Night Run.
