Small Race Preview: 2017 Stagecoach 5k & 10k (Jacksonville, OR)
The 46th Annual Stagecoach Run 5k & 10k will be on October 21st this year in Jacksonville, OR. This race will benefit the Pear Blosson Scholarship Fund which provides funding to local students who are pursuing their athletic and educational goals for college.
Both the 5k and 10k course will start at West D and Oregon St and head north. The course is described as a “scenic, rolling, out-and-back” which will showcase the gorgeous days of Fall that so many of us runners love to run in. You will experience views of Roxy Ann Peak, Mount McLoughlin, the Table Rocks, and the beautiful Rogue Valley.
If you wish to become a member of the Southern Oregon Runners, you’ll save $5 on the entry fee for this race (and any of the other 15+ Southern Oregon Runners races a year.) A short-sleeved tech shirt, designed by Lulu Fisk, is optional and will cost you the low rate of $15 if you want one.
No roller skates, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, dogs, or unregistered runners please!
Due to the unpredictable weather this time of year, you’ve been advised to be prepared for “sun, rain, fog, and always a great time.” Sounds like Fall in Oregon to me!
