Portland Marathon Clinic Free Long Run for Saturday, September 30, 2017

This Saturday is the very last Portland Marathon Clinic for 2017. The run this weekend is a nice 8-mile taper run, starting from Mountain Hardwear at 722 SW Taylor St. in downtown Portland. This run will start promptly at 8a, so arrive no later than 7:45a; doors open at 7:30a.

Because this run is less than 10 miles, there will not be any aid stations set up for this route. Please be prepared with your own hydration and nutrition.

The route heads straight to the waterfront and then north until you’ve completed 3 miles. After that, it’s back along the waterfront heading south, passing the Salmon Springs Fountain and continuing along the river until you reach the tram. From there you turn back north and then head back to the store.

About Kelly Barten (773 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
