Small Race Preview: 2017 Mad Hatter Dash (Salem)

The 6th annual Mad Hatter Dash on Saturday, September 30th, invites participants to wear their best, most outrageous hats for this fun 5k run/walk benefiting the Dream Center in Salem. The money raised goes towards a college scholarship for at least one of the Dream Center Kids.

The scenic course of the Mad Hatter Dash 5k is appropriate for participants of all ages and speeds. After the race, stick around for music, food, and drink. The kids at the Dream Center are creating unique awards for the top three finishers (male and female) in five age groups, and the coveted “Mad Hatter Award” goes to the person with the best hat.

The race will start in Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex at the entrance to the softball fields, run through Wallace Marine Park and across the beautiful and historic Union Street Pedestrian Bridge, through Riverfront Park, up and over the Center Street bridge, through the trails of Wallace Marine Park and will finish back at the softball entrance.
