Small Race Preview: Race for the Ace, Eugene OR

Who doesn’t love the idea of a Poker-themed race? Race for the Ace is just that, where participants collect five playing cards along a scenic 5K course through a park and along a bike path of the Willamette River in Eugene. The object is to have the best five-card hand, hence the title of the event “Race for the Ace.”

The race will take place on Sunday, September 17th at 11a at Maurie Jacobs Park in Eugene. There will be prizes for the best five-card hand for men and women under the age of 17. There will also be prizes presented to the top finishers for male and female, as well as the top three finishers in each age group. Participants will also be eligible for prize drawings on race day.

Race for the Ace will benefit the local PeaceHealth Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
