Race Preview: 2017 Moore Mountain Trail Fest (Klamath Falls)

Want more mountains? Think Moore Mountain!

The Linkville Lopers’ 2017 Moore Mountain Trail Fest is on September 2nd and 3rd this year and features all the best things about trail running: singletrack, mountain and lake views, and an elevation profile to boast about.

Saturday at the Ross Ragland is the Trails in Motion film ($9, tickets on Ultra Signup), as well as packet pickup, and all the races run on Sunday.

You can pick the distance right for you, as they have a 5K, half marathon, or 30K to choose from. The 5K is described as “fun and technically challenging with minimal elevation gain”. The half marathon has about 1,600 ft of climbing and the 30K takes runners up about 2,200 ft. You can view the course maps here!

The 5K will have 1 water station at mile 1. The half marathon will have 6 aid stations (first and last are water only), and the 30K has 7 aid stations (first and third are water only). Full aid stations will have soda, chips, pretzels, watermelon, bananas, and gels (and great volunteers)!

The Linkville Lopers have an inspiring Strava group and you can stay up-to-date on race details on their Facebook page as well!
