Cheap Race for a Great Cause: CureSearch for Children’s Cancer on August 12 is only $10 for age 16+

If you love running races for great causes, but don’t want to blow your budget, you should check out this Beaverton race scheduled for Saturday, August 12: The CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. The 5k run/walk is only $10 for adults to sign up (but you can donate more or start a fund raising team) and free for runners and walkers 15 and younger.

Here are the details:

When: Saturday, August 12

What time: The race starts at 10:30a

Where: Planet Fitness at 14755 SW Teal Blvd. in Beaverton

Register: Online here for $10 (plus any additional donation) – Read the note below for details.

TO REGISTER: click on the drop down box above under Register, and then Click the box  – Start a Team. Follow the prompts, but on the first page of registration after you enter your team name, please answer the drop down to the right – Choose An Existing Event, click on Cancer Curesaders. 

You can register online ahead of the race or day-of between 9a and 10a. There will be a myriad of other family-friendly activities taking place, and the 5k itself starts at 10:30a. There will be awards and raffle prizes given out in a ceremony at 11:15a, so stick around to see if you win anything.

The event is sponsored by the shopping center itself (Regency Centers), as well as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Eco Car Wash, and Planet Fitness.
