What Run Oregon is Wearing: Newman V-Neck from Ecoths

We reviewed a couple of items from Ecoths and their sister company, Aventura, this past fall. While these  were more “lifestyle” than running items, we did find that they possessed a style that many Pacific Northwesterners would appreciate. I still wear my plaid Cooper Shirt Jacket with great frequency. Ecoths has a new Spring 2017 line and one item they wanted us to check out was Newman V-Neck tee. I was happy to oblige with the request, as even though this winter has been mired by terrible weather, when the sun comes out, short sleeves are where I am most comfortable – and v-necks are my style of choice.

The Newman tee is super soft to the touch, made from 60% organic cotton and 40% polyester. As with most items from the Ecoths and Aventura lines, I would define the style of the line (for the most part) is geared towards those age 40+. That’s not say that some items can’t be enjoyed by those younger (see my raving about the Cooper Shirt Jacket above and in my review), but it’s important to know that their items aren’t necessarily 100% cutting edge style-wise. The design in this shirt is also more standard cut, as opposed to a fit or active taper. Even taking those things into consideration I ultimately really like this shirt. It’s super comfortable and a great item to add to the closet as the weather starts to heat up.

More about Ecoths:

Ecōths is the harmonious blend of two words; Eco and Ethos and these two words are at the epicenter of the meaning of the brand. The foundation of Ecōths is combining natural fabrics with style, comfort, and personality, while at the same time accentuating and shaping one’s character and guiding beliefs and ideals towards community, and a better place to live.

Ecōths uses natural fibers and is unparalleled with unique styling details and our approach to develop a brand with a true SOUL. We sought out to combine the urban fashion elements with rugged outdoor influence into one cohesive brand that combines style, community, and goodness. As part of our GOOD SAM program, Ecōths has been hooking up with local Food Banks around the country and in just over two years, we have donated over 150,000 meals across the US. Ecōths provides a minimum of three meals for every garment sold in America to someone in need. Make a purchase of Ecōths, and in turn you will be donating three meals to someone who truly needs it. It is that simple..
