Race Preview: 2017 Couve Clover Run (Vancouver, WA)

Event Shirt

‘Tis the season for St Patrick’s Day races, which thankfully usually spread out over the two weekends closest to March 17th. The 2017 Couve Clover Run takes place in Vancouver on Sunday, March 26th with a 9am start time. Participants can choose between three different distances: 3 miles, 7  miles, and 10 miles. There is no kids run, but youngsters are encouraged to join the 3 mile distance.

The race starts and ends in downtown Vancouver in front of Main Event Sports. All three distances have the same start time and share the first two miles together. The 3 mile course is a single loop from downtown heading east to Fort Vancouver, south to the river, west along the river, and back north and east to the start. The 7 mile course uses all of the 3 mile course, but just before mile 2, the 7 miler turns left for a brief out-and-back (the turnaround point is just before the mile 4 marker). The 10 miler turns left for the out and back as well, but its turnaround point is around mile 5.5.

After the race stick around for food, music and awards at Main Event Sports right by the finish line. In addition to overall and age group awards, prizes will also be given to the most festive (green!) costumes.
