Small Race Preview: 2017 Prineville Paddy Pint Run

If you happen to be in central Oregon on St. Patrick’s Day and looking for something fun to do, look no further than the 4th annual Prineville Paddy Pint Run.  Held at 5:30 pm on a Friday evening, this is the perfect opportunity to get a little fun run (or walk) in before kicking off the weekend!  The event offers a 5K or 1 mile run/walk which will tour downtown Prineville with optional “pit stops” stocked with refreshments along the course at Starbucks, SOB and at Good Bike Co.  Proceeds for the race will benefit the Tooth Taxi and Crook County Foundation, with over $10,000 raised at last year’s event!

Grab your lucky running shorts and your favorite green top hat, because costumes are encouraged and prizes will be available at the after party in the downtown area.

Participants can pick up their race beanie (how cool is that!?) and goodie bag  before the race on March 16th 4:00- 7:00 pm at Ochoco Dental.

About Robin York (147 Articles)
Robin grew up as a couch potato and did everything she could to get out of exercise, until one day a good friend would not stop talking about this fun 5k race she was doing. Finally Robin got off the couch and trained for this "fun" race using C25K (couch to 5k program). After crossing that first finish line, she kept going and became a "runner". After losing 80 lbs, gaining health, a love of being active and setting a healthy example for her husband and kids, she thinks she'll stick with this whole "running thing".
