Race Preview: 2017 Run for the Shamrock (Eugene)

The 40th annual Run for the Shamrock at Eugene’s Alton Baker Park takes place on Saturday, March 11th. All proceeds of the race benefit the Sheldon High School track and field team. You can register in person at the Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center)  or at Shamrock Flowers and Gifts through Thursday, March 9, or online here. Shirts are guaranteed to those registered by March 6th.

Race participants have two distances to chose from: Both the 10k and the 5k run on flat paths within Alton Baker Park and along the Willamette river, and both courses cross the river twice. Awards are given to the overall top finishers male and female in each distance, as well as three deep in five-year age groups. All participants are eligible for random prize drawings.

When: Saturday, March 11, 2017; 9:30am
Where: Alton Baker Park, Eugene (map)
What: 5k, 10k
Registration: Online here, or print and fill registration form
Registration cost: Adults – $20 ($30 with t-shirt) – through March 10, 2017; Youth 17 & Under deduct $5.  On race day, add $5. Shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by March 6, 2017
Registration includes: Race entry, awards, post-race food and refreshments
Packet Pickup: Starting at 8am on race day
