The run will start at 8a and will consist of two out-and-backs. The first one will be 11.5 miles up and over Terwilliger to the Barbur Shops (at Barbur and Terwilliger). The second will be 8 miles of out and back that winds through NW Portland to the Willamette and then along the waterfront on the westside, turning around near Riverplace.
As always, be prepared for whatever the weather may bring, and pack your hydration and nutrition. If you are running a spring marathon and haven’t determined what you’ll wear/carry for the race, you should be practicing and trying various gear out on these long runs.
Run Oregon thinks that what Coach Jim and his pacers do is simply wonderful: providing a welcoming, safe long run option for free is an important addition to our running community. Thanks, guys!
