Race Preview: 2017 SOR Rogue River Run (Rogue River, OR)

The Rogue River Half Marathon and Alyssa Watson Memorial 5k takes place this year on Saturday, February 18th. The races start at beautiful Fleming Park in Rogue River OR, just eight miles east of Grants Pass in Southern Oregon. Both race courses are out and back on the Rogue River Greenway bikepath. Online Registration is open through 2/15 for the half and 5k; participants for the 1 mile fun run register on race morning. SOR Club members save $5 on each SOR race their register for. Due to safety concerns, there can be absolutely no rollerskaters, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, dogs, headphones, or unregistered participants.

The half marathon time limit is 3hrs; finishers receive a finishers’ medal. The top finisher (male and female) in the half receives $100 prize money, $50 for masters’. The top three age group finishers in each distance receive award ribbons.

When: Saturday, February 18; Start time 10am for the half, 10:30am for the 5k.

Registration cost: Half – $35; 5k – $20 adults, $7 for ages 17 and under. SOR members get $5 discount. DOR add $5.
