Sometimes it’s too cold for shorts alone, but not quite cold enough for running tights. That’s when running pants come in. If you’re going to run in pants, fit, length, and comfort are important, and SportHill’s Zephyr pants pass the test in all three categories. In a race in 25 degree temperatures, and on cold training runs, they fit extremely well, neither too tight or restrictive nor too loose and flappy. The length was ideal, keeping my ankles warm, while not interfering with my shoes. And the tailoring and fabric were streamlined and breathable. Special stitching at the knee conforms to the shape of your leg, and the SwiftDry and SwiftPro material kept my legs warm but not overheated or sweaty.
While not flashy, and available only in basic “Black” (no snooty proprietary hue name required), the Zephyrs do feature an elasticized waistband and ankles. A drawstring at the waist, generous ankle zippers, and a rear zippered hip pocket round out these high quality, comfortable, and nicely functional running pants.
