Small Race Preview: 2017 Capitol Mile (Salem)

If you’ve ever found yourself enamored of the idea of a New Year’s Day race, but still harbor pretty realistic views about your ability to wake up for an early start time - Salem's Capitol Mile is a race has that has you covered.  Start the year off right with an easy-to-make start time of 10am and an easy, flat mile run through the state’s capitol.  Starting at the West Salem Courthouse and heading toward Wallace Marine Park, the event is a family-friendly race welcoming runners, walkers, and joggers of all ages and abilities. Proceeds go to benefit the Kelsey Oldman Scholarship Fund and new this year - the race timing will be provided by Eclectic Edge Racing. Matt ran this event back in 2015 and can attest that it's appropriate for everyone!
