Come join Pink Buffalo Racing for the annual Eugene Holiday Half & Hustle 10k/5k, set to take place Saturday, December 17. This chip timed event will take place at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon and will support Ophelia Place, a prevention based organization dedicated to helping girls make healthy life choices through empowerment, education and support.

The courses will be an out and back along Fern Ridge Road, starting and finishing at Lane Events Center. The half marathon course will have 6 aid stations which will include water, snacks and an energy replenishing beverage. There will also be toilets on the course located at miles 1.5, 5, 8, and 11.5. There will be one aid station on the 5K course and 3 on the 10K course and they will be serving water and an energy replenishing beverage. Toilets will be located at mile 1.5 and 4.5 in the 10K.
There is a 4 hour time limit for the half marathon. (An average of 18:18 per mile). The 10K time limit is 2 hours and the 5K time limit is 1 hour and 25 minutes. Overall, the courses are described as being relatively flat and is completely paved. The event will be chip timed by Eclectic Edge Racing.
All half marathon finishers will receive a glass finishers medal. Top 3 males and females overall and in each age group for all distances will be given medals at the results table inside the expo center. Age group medals will be given out at this table during the event. Please note that there is no official awards ceremony; you will need to go to the results area to see if you placed. Any medals requested to be mailed after the event incur $7 shipping fee.
There will also be an option to run as a team and compete for medals. Teams must have 4 finishers to score and participate in the same distance. The top 5 members of the winning team in each category will be given medals. All members of teams must be declared prior to race day. Categories include: Open (co-ed), women, men, running clubs, masters, corporate.
- Entry fees through December 16 are as follows: Half Marathon: $50; 10k/5k: $20
- Entry fees on race day (Dec 17) are as follows: Half Marathon: $60; 10k/5k: $25
- *Ages 60+ and 17 & Under, deduct $5
- *Must be 15 years or older to participate in the half marathon
The kids fun run is free, and registration is available through race day by 830am. This will be a .66 mile fun run and is not timed or scored. The fun run will take place at the event start/finish area near expo space 2. Parents can run & walk with their kids during this event.
Registration can be done ONLINE or via a printable MAIL IN FORM. Mailed entries should be sent to Pink Buffalo at PO Box 5404, Eugene, OR 97405 and must be postmarked by December 9th. Please do not mail cash.
Day of Race Registration will also be available from 7:45 am – 9 am at Lane Events Center, Expo Space 2, 796 W 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401.
**There will be no refunds, no transfers, no deferrals, and no exceptions for this event. Selling or giving away a bib number is strictly prohibited. Running under someone else’s name and emergency contact information is strictly prohibited.**
The deadline to pre-order a race shirt is November 30. The Adult long sleeve tech shirts are $15 and are available in sizes XS to XL for women and S thru 2XL for men. The Youth long sleeve cotton shirts are $10 and are available in sizes S thru L. If you are unable to purchase a shirt with registration, extra shirts may be available for purchase on the packet pick up date or on race day, depending on stock.
Packet pick up will take place Friday, December 16 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at The UPS Store Springfield, 1863 Pioneer Parkway East, Springfield, OR 97477 as well as on race day Saturday, December 17 from 7:45 am – 9 am at Lane Events Center, Expo Space 2, 796 W 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401.
