As Thanksgiving Day approaches, we look forward to food, family and running in the annual holiday races that pop up everywhere. This year we have 3 races taking place over the holiday weekend, including 2 on Thanksgiving Day!
The first race is the ever-popular I Like Pie 2K, 5K & 10K that takes place in downtown Bend. The cost is only a $5 donation and a 5lb sack of groceries that benefits Neighborhood Impact. It’s recommended that you bring a pie to feed the masses and you are welcome to enter the pie contest as well!
When: Thursday, November 24th at 9am. Race starts at Mirror Pond Plaza behind FootZone.
Register: Online at EventBrite
The second race is the Bend Thanksgiving Classic 5K/10K , which takes place right in the heart of the Old Mill District. The race is put on by the Boys & Girls Club and is now in its 9th year.
When: Thursday, November 24th at 9am.
Register: Online at GetMeRegistered
The third race is the 5K/10K Turkey Trot that takes place in Madras, starting and ending at the Madras Aquatic Center. Instead of pie, runners will compete for a chance to take home a turkey!
