For 70 years, Powell Butte Christian Church has been putting on a celebration, of sorts, and people from all over the country have been coming to take part in this full day event. From pies to quilts to mouth-watering BBQ, this event has a little something for everyone, including a great race! Check out this cool flier to get a feel for the event:
Now in its 12 year, the Lord’s Acre 5K/10K is an out and back race that features pie as your reward. With more than 12 varieties of pie to choose from and the ability to buy it by the slice, you might want to run a little faster to get to the finish line!
When: Saturday, November 5th. Race starts at 9:00am. Race-day registration opens at 7:30. Coffee is served starting at 7:00am
Pie Slice Sale: Begins at 9:00 am ($2.00 a slice)
Pit Barbecue Dinner: Beginning at 11:45 am: $10 – Roast beef, ham, and lamb, baked beans, baked potatoes, bread, onions and pickles.
