All three races start at Picnic Area A at Coffenbury Lake, which can be reached easiest by taking the overnight camping entrance to the park, which also leads to the beach access point at the wreck of the Peter Iredale. The half marathon is the first race to start at 9am. The course is a big double loop through the park, run on paved multipurpose trails, leading runners past the historic military batteries and stations. The 10k and 5k start together at 10am. The 10k mostly follows the same route as the half marathon, the 5k takes a shortcut about a mile into the race, and then rejoins the 10k/half course later on.
After the race, participants will be treated to food and drink from sponsors, raffle prizes, and awards. Every participant also receives a finisher’s ribbon.
