Every fall, the small town of Jacksonville, just west of Medford, OR, hosts its Stagecoach Run 5k/10k. This year, the event date is Saturday, October 15th, and the course promises to be beautifully decked out with foliage changing to the beautiful autumn spectrum of colors.
The 5k and 10k both start together at 8:30am in front of the library at the corner of Oregon St and West D St. Participants head out on the out-and-back course, where they will be treated to beautiful fall colors, views of Roxy Ann Peak, Mount McLoughlin, the Table Rocks and the Rogue Valley. Be sure to dress for the weather, as temperatures can be between 30-50*F, and it can range from sunshine, to fog, to downpouring rain.
All net proceeds from the Stagecoach Run have, for over 20 years, provided Pear Blossom Scholarship Awards to selected local student-athletes to help attain their college goals in education and athletics. Any tax deductible donation to the Pear Blossom Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated.
