Small Race Preview: 2016 Sunset Bay Trail Runs

 If you are going to be in the Coos Bay area over Labor Day weekend, register for the 7th annual Sunset Bay Trail Runs. Starting at Sunset Bay State Park, this race includes a half marathon, 15K, 4 mile, and a 1 mile kids' beach fun run. Expect hilly, challenging cross country terrain, along with amazing ocean views. Just $10 will allow you to run any of the distances, and for an additional $15 you can add a dry fit race t-shirt. What a deal! The course is RRCA sanctioned, therefore no headphones, strollers, or animals are allowed. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 in each age division and overall male/female winners will receive plaques. All fun run participants will receive participation ribbons. The South Coast Running Club will donate proceeds from this race to the local Pregnancy Resource Center.

Date: Saturday, September 3

Times: 9:30 A.M. – Half Marathon
9:50 A.M. – Fun Run
10:00 A.M. – 4 mile and 15K

Location: Sunset Bay State Park, Cape Arago Highway, Coos Bay

Entry Fees: $10 – any distance, $25 with shirt (SCRC members: $8)
