We created an incredible moisture-wicking lightweight tee, designed to take you on all your summertime adventures- from hiking and backpacking mountains, to running forest trails, and traveling to faraway islands. We’ve updated the pattern from our last short run to traditional shoulder seams, so it’s low-key enough to be your go-to everyday T-shirt with all the performance perks.
The fabric is a blend of polyester and Tencel- made from the fibers of Eucalyptus trees. It kills odors naturally: less time washing, more time adventuring.
We’ve added just a bit of stretch Lycra, keeping your body comfortable and free. The fabric breathes, while wicking sweat to the surface where it evaporates quickly.
Matte black and heather gray are available now for pre-order. None of that night-club shininess of other performance shirts. That’s never been our style.

Impressions:
A few months ago I got a chance to try out a great tech shirt from Los Angeles apparel start-up Pistol Lake. I loved everything about the shirt except that it was a bit heavier than average, not something inherently bad, but just not ideal for running. Well just as summer is heating up, Pistol Lake has come out with a new running shirt that maintains the high quality and craftsmanship of its predecessor, but is much lighter and more breathable.
The Summerweight Active Tee fits great with its straight-seam Raglan sleeve design (since updated to conventional shoulder seams in Pistol Lake’s newest run of shirts). I barely noticed it while I was running, as the fabric is soft and light, and the tailoring holds flapping and sagging to a minimum. In addition, although it was a reasonably warm morning and sweat was dripping from my brow, the shirt (and the torso it contained) remained dry and comfortable throughout my run. It wasn’t until I was back inside that I started to feel sweat on the shirt.
Other than the excellent construction and design, Pistol Lake eschews frills. If you’re looking for a bold logo or neon colors, you’ll be disappointed. My shirt is a single shade of basic black, classy but reserved. (The shirt is also available in heather gray). For visibility, you should complement the shirt with bright shorts and reflective gear if you’re planning to be running near traffic.
If you’re looking for a high-quality running shirt from a company that takes pride in its products and the care with which they’re made, you definitely can’t go wrong with Pistol Lake.
