When I was asked to try out Project 7 Gourmet Gum, I was all over it, since I am a bit of a gum addict. I was amazed at the variety of flavors Project 7 has created. I was also a little apprehensive. With flavors like Birthday Cake, S’mores, and Front Porch Lemonade, I knew this was not typical gum. The first flavor I decided to try was Rainbow Ice. I don’t get too excited about shaved ice, so I figured this would just be O.K. From the first chew, I was blown away by how flavorful this gum is. Especially since it’s sugar free. Even my husband, who never chews gum, tried it out and was impressed by the amount of flavor it had.
Each piece of gum is Chiclet-like and comes in a re-sealable pack of 12. Two pieces are the recommended “serving size” and I would agree with that. Once piece just isn’t quite enough, and 3 is even better! Even though this is very flavorful gum, it isn’t real long-lasting. I found that it was a great “dessert gum.” (Is that a thing?) You know, after you eat a meal and you feel like you need something sweet? This gum was a great way to get dessert without indulging in all the calories. 2 pieces of gum is just 5 calories, so that’s a dessert you can have every night!
Besides this gum being ridiculously flavorful, it is also about charitable causes. 7 of them, in fact. The 7 causes are Feeding the Hungry, Healing the Sick, supporting those who Hope for Peace, Housing the Homeless, Quenching Those who Thirst, Teaching them Well, and Saving the Earth. You can learn more about each cause Project 7 supports here. Whenever you purchase this American-made gum, you help give to these projects. On the back of each package of gum there is a run down of how much Project 7 has given. You can also text in to get updated giving reports.
Project 7 Gum can be purchased on Amazon.com in packages of 12 per flavor for $16.99 (or approximately $1.42 per pack.) They can also be found as individual packs at various stores in the area including Target.(See complete list here.)
