"Put your money where your love is"
As a father of two (soon to be 3), getting away for a run is my downtime. Being able to race is a luxury and something that I never take for granted. So if you are a father or you are looking to find a gift for the man in your life (or really if you just want to run a new race), check out Terrapin Events' 2016 Grateful Dad Half / 10k / 5k. There will also be a kid's race - a perfect dad and family experience.
"There is a road, no simple highway, between the dawn and the dark of night"The roads in question are a few near PDX Airport. All distances will all start just south of Marine Drive (Sunderland and 33rd) and feature a variety of out and backs. The 5k will essentially stick to 33rd, while the longer distances will tack on extra miles along Marine Drive. I would expect some great weather with the Cascades rising in the blue sky with the glistening Columbia River nearby.
“When it’s good as it can be It gets better, wait and see”
Following the event, all participants will receive an awesome medal and tee-shirt. There will be a beer garden and breakfast, as well as some live music on-site. Sounds like an amazing way to celebrate Father’s Day if you ask me. Get registered now and there will be “nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile“.
