Registration is currently open, DOE sign up is an additional $15. Entry will include goodie bags, snacks and a chance to win raffle prizes, in addition to the race experience. The Rogue Valley Runners will give awards to the men and womens winners of the event afterwards.
The race starts at 9 with packet pickup from 6:45 to 8:30. There is also the option of picking it up the day before from Rogue Valley Runners between the time of 4 and 6 pm. Event though the run is advertised at 10 miles, as with any trail run, the distance is not exact and they used a Garmin to find it about a half mile long.
If long, beautiful trail runs are your thing, this sounds like the perfect race. It will definitely not be flat, the perfect opportunity to dial it back a notch and enjoy the terrain and views. June 12th is early summer, so it will be warm but not unbearably so in the forest. This is definitely tempting me to do a weekend road trip, how about you?
