Vision 90 Hope for Haiti 5K Run/Walk held on Saturday, May 21st in Saint Helens isn’t just another fun run, but an opportunity to actually impact our world. The money raised from this run/walk will go directly to building 90 homes in 90 days in Haiti, an area still struggling from the devastation from six years ago. January 12, 2010 a 7.0 magnitude earthquake killed more than 200,000 people and left many homeless. This run will help fund a group traveling to Haiti to help build homes for those still living in tents and worse. Online registration is available through May 20th and costs $30, plus a small processing fee. Held at 265 Strand Street in St. Saint Helens, the run/walk begins at 9AM and all fitness levels are encouraged to come out. Donations, of course, are accepted if you can’t make the run but want to support the cause.
