Where do I sign up?
Well, the simple answer to that is right here for the Race Through Hells Canyon, a half/10k/5k event on May 21, 2016. For those of you who are not aware, Hells Canyon divides Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho. I sadly haven’t been to Hells Canyon, but everyone I have talked to have said its second to none. Sure it’s a drive, but the event starts at 3pm, so you can probably make the trip in the morning and stay overnight after the event, or at least get a start on the way home.
The 5k course, 10k course, and half course all start and end in Oxbow and will be out-and-back along the Snake River. Expect gravel, rocks, and amazing views in the deep canyon.
Following the race, stick around for the BBQ dinner during awards and raffle. There will be live music and a silent auction as well. Proceeds go towards Pine Eagle Community Preschool in Halfway, Oregon.
