The 21st annual event features approximately 20 miles of trails and 11.3 miles of logging roads in OSU’s McDonald Forest. Its challenging course includes at least 6,800 feet of elevation gain with scenic views of the Cascades, coast range and Soap Creek Valley on a sunny day. Proceeds from the event will support the Corvallis area high school cross-country and ski teams.

Four aid stations and 1 water only station will be available for race participants, spread throughout the the course. All runners must check in prior to the start of the race.

Aid Stations will have; water, electrolyte drink, Coke, ice, gel, potatoes, bananas, pretzels, chips, cookies, and first aid (Vaseline, Advil, Tums and Band-Aids). Ask the aid station volunteers if you need Tecnu for poison oak, or Succeed caps, Tums, Advil or foot care.

Fill the bag with anything you like, clothes, food, drink mix, meds, etc
and leave it on the drop bag tarp in front of the Forestry Cabin at the start
and then it will be transported to the Dimple Hill (Aid Station #2) for you.
There will be an optional early start at 7AM for runners concerned about making the cutoffs at the aid stations and at the finish. Please take the early start only if you expect to finish in more than 7 hours. Early starters will be included in the overall race results, but will not be considered for age group recognition, unless everyone in their age group took the early start. If you plan to start at 7AM, make sure it is noted on your application, or please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call (503-949-1614) prior to the race, to assist the race directors in keeping track of the early starter’s and their finish times.
Post race events will take place in the Forestry Cabin and will include a bluegrass band, homemade vegan soup and other yummy refreshments. Results will be posted in the Forestry cabin, and awards will be given out to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top 3 overall male and female masters finishers. Age group awards will also be given out as well.
