Take your mom (or the mother of your children) to the beach this Mother’s Day and get in a 5K while you’re there. The Mother’s Day Run (put on by Ardor Adventures) in Newport is a great chance for the whole family to enjoy a run and help benefit the Central Oregon Coast Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) Foundation.
This Saturday morning run starts at the Newport Performing Arts Center and travels through Historic Nye Beach, down to Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, through Yaquina Bay State Park and back to Performing Arts Center. The course is paved, fairly flat, fast, and scenic. A Kids Fun Run is also a part of the event.
