Race Preview: 2016 Prineville Paddy Pint Run 5k/1M (Prineville)

Prineville Paddy Pint RunIf you are looking for a St Patrick's Day themed race, there are many to choose from across the state. Most of them are taking place on the weekend before or after St Patrick's Day, but if you're looking for an event on March 17th, the Prineville Paddy Pint Run may be just right for you. The event offers two different distances, the 5k and 1M, and lots of Irish Spirit. Proceeds of the race support the Tooth Taxi of the Dental Foundation of Oregon, which provides free dental care to kids in need at schools throughout Oregon.

The race starts and ends in the center of Prineville at Good Bike Co., right next to the court house. Come early for the Zumba warm-up and singing of the National Anthem. The chip-timed 5k includes three drink tickets on your bib, which you can redeem before, during, and after the race, as there are several (optional) beer stops along the route.

After the race, join the finisher’ party at Ochoco Brewing with live music, food, drink, and awards. Awards will go to overall winners, age groupers, masters, stroller racers, a stumbling leprechaun, and best costume.

For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page.
