Huge shout-out to Level 32 Racing for having a race on St. Patrick’s Day! Join me at the Lucky Clover 10K and 5K, occurring Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Springfield, Oregon at 5:30 p.m. Wear your green (or red!) and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in epic style — by running! The race takes place at Dorris Ranch Park in Springfield.
Participants may choose from a 5K or 10K distance. This race features two courses (I love this!); one is on road, the other is on trail. If you choose the 5K, you may pick which surface you want to complete your 5K on. For those running the 10K, you will run on both surfaces – you choose which surface to run first. The trail course is flat and fast, winding through Dorris Ranch Park on the bark chip paths. You’ll be treated to views of lovely filbert orchards and the Willamette River. The road course will take participants for a tour through neighborhoods and along the river.
Awards will be presented in all three events (1 = 10K, 2 = 5K road, 3 = 5K trail). The top three male and female finishers, as well as 3-deep in each age group, will receive awards. Everyone is entered to win random prizes! Timing provided by Eclectic Edge Racing.
Stick around after the race for the ‘after party’ and enjoy some (green?) beer! The event will take place at The Abbey -Claim 52 Brewing Co. taproom in downtown Springfield. They will be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Registration is open, and race day registration will be available (additional fee). Adults can register for $20, and those 17 and under for $15. Technical event shirts are $12, and can be ordered by Monday, March 7 with your registration. Online registration closes March 16. Pickup your packet race day at Dorris Ranch Park from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Race kicks off at 5:30 p.m.!
