Race Preview: 2016 New Year’s Day Hangover Run by Run Wild Adventures

Start and Finish line
This event is not just for parents running with kids (though that happens), nor is it solely for people struggling to run off a fuzzy New Year’s Eve (though that happens too). It is, however, a great and easy start to 2016 – complete with a short country course, low-key atmosphere, and great post-race party and fun.
The course is straightforward with quite a few different terrains over the 1.86 miles. Runners will begin on a well-packed gravel road and venture into dirt/mud trails, frozen farmland (most years at least), and leaf packed areas. The one mile aid station has some adult-themed “refreshments” for those still aiming to kick their year off right.
As this is the 6th year of the race, the event is top notch. After the race, there will be warm soup/chili, cold beer by Seven Brides Brewing, and raffle prizes galore. Stick around for the Beer Mile and be mesmerized (or disgusted) with what these brave souls put their bodies through.
