Race Preview: 2015 Snowflake Mile (Klamath Falls)

Two of my favorite things are street miles and races along parade routes. The Snowflake Mile in Klamath Falls is both of these! Part of the city’s annual Snowflake Festival, the race takes place on Main Street on a Thursday evening just before the Snowflake Festival Parade.

With Santa Claus serving as the official starter, the Christmas spirit will be hitting its stride as runners dash down Main Street past parade spectators and holiday lights.

The Snowflake Festival is a two-week celebration, from November 28th through December 12th, so if you’re in town for the mile, make sure to check out the other festive activities:

Come experience a two-week celebration where we celebrate all things snow. Each year Klamath Falls goes all-out with a variety of events and activities that includes a tree lighting at City Hall, breakfast with Santa, gingerbread house contests, snowflake mile-run, wonderland of trees, and of course the annual parade! A fun filled holiday event for the whole family!
