Portland Marathon Clinic Training Run for September 12, 2015

This week at the Portland Marathon Clinic, groups will run 16 or 20 miles starting from Road Runner Sports in NW Portland. This run is free and open to everyone. The groups are led by experienced pace group leaders and organized by marathon goal time. You might wonder why they run slower than marathon goal pace - this is because PMC adheres to the RRCA-supported "long, slow distance" training model. This week's route can be viewed here.

Where: Road Runner Sports at 29 NW 23rd Ave.

Parking: From the PMC website: “You can park in the Uptown Center upper parking lot or the associated parking garage, disregard the time limit signs.”

What time: The run starts at 8a. Be there no later than 7:45.

I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
