Race Preview: 2015 The Blast! for Recovery and Prevention Run

Down in Roseburg OR, on September 12 there is a fun event that will provide a memorable experience. The Blast is a 5K color run at Stewart Park in Roseburg. The color is optional at this event, so participants can choose to detour around that part. The Blast part is when colored cornstarch (non toxic and non rash-inducing) is thrown at participants in designated areas along the course. Registration is currently open online, entries are $35 until the 11th.

This is a benefit event for the Peer Power mentoring program. The focus of their programs is the prevention of issues like substance abuse, bullying, and more. The course is a big loop around the park, some if it adjacent to the road. The end shall be quite colorful if the pictures on the site are to be believed.

The setting and benefit are two very positive factors of this event. Knowing the entry fees are going to a great cause makes any run better. Runs like this are twice as fun if wearing plain white or light colored clothing to show off the aftermath. Stewart Park is going to be the place to be at 9am on September 12th!
