Race Preview: 2015 Walterville Waddle
Just outside of Springfield, the scenic 5K course starts at the Walterville Community Hall and heads out Walterville’s country roads turning on to dirt roads through local farms. The last stretch is along the beautiful EWEB canal circling back to the Walterville Community Hall. The course is mostly flat with a few ups and downs and some rough terrain.
The Walterville Waddle is the newest addition to the annual Walterville Community Fair and parade. Be sure to stick around after the race to enjoy the events of the day. Watch the parade, check out the local fair, enjoy the entertainment, and don’t miss the Bar-B-Que chicken dinner.
The first place male and female winners will be treated like royalty and will ride in the Walterville Community parade. They will also receive a special handcrafted mug and a free chicken dinner later that evening! That’s true small-town treatment and charm.
