Race Preview: 2015 Monkey Face Half Marathon and 4 mile run/walk – Smith Rock State Park

Ready for another awesome run at Smith Rock State Park? You should be, because this one is coming up quick! We here at Run Oregon previewed this great race about a month ago and we have some additional info to pass along. The race organizers over at Pink Buffalo have added aid stations to both courses, meaning the runners on the half course will pass by 7 total aid stations and the 4 milers will pass by 3. Some are duplicated because of the loop style course, but that's the beauty of it!

The race is Saturday, August 22nd. The half marathon starts at 8am and the 4 miler starts at 9am. Registration is still open but is capped to 400 participants, so register now!

The Half Marathon costs $59 through August 21st and will cost $65 on race day. The 4 Mile Run/Walk costs $29 through August 21st and will cost $35 on race day. Seniors over 60 and students 17 and under receive a $5 discount. Race day registration will be at the start/finish area from 7-8:45AM. If you prefer to mail in your registration,  download a printable form and make sure it is postmarked by August 15th. Do not send cash.

An all trail half marathon! Did you hear that, trail lovers? This would be an excellent race to try out a trail run for the first time, too, due to the excellent course support. This is going to be a great event!
