Mud Madness is coming to Salem’s Fordyce Farm on August 22. This fundraiser for The Exchange Club is a muddy obstacle course run which includes a timed Pro Run 5K and an untimed 1.7 mile Fun Run.
This obstacle course mud run is for all ages and includes a wide variety of kid-friendly obstacles. The Fun Run includes a tire climb, a 100 ft. water slide, and lot of mud. The 5K inlcudes a crawl, tire flipping, wall climb, monkey bars, a pond, balance beams, a maze, and lots of mud. The Challenger is on the main 1.7 mile course, but extra water will be added to the mud bog to make this wave a bit more of a challenge.
Stick around to enjoy beer from Santiam Brewing (or soda) and live music at the after-party. You can also take a hayride to Fordyce Farm’s gardens.
This fundraising event helps The Exchange Club. This group is working to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Youth Activities, Community Service and the National service project “The Prevention of Child Abuse!” So, head on out to Salem with the whole family and get a little muddy to help prevent child abuse!
