Cosmo 7k Girls’ Night Out: August 8th, 2015

Looking for a fun excuse to get together with girlfriends? The Cosmo 7k Run/Walk on Saturday, August 8th takes a unique spin on the traditional happy hour. A night out for ladies 21 and older and you don’t have to feel guilty sipping a Three Olives Cosmo post race. It’s the best way to enjoy a cocktail, burn some calories first and earn it. A fun night out ‘on the town’ in Vancouver and finishers get to take home a Luna goodie bag, Cosmo 7k martini glass and a tech shirt.  You can have a spontaneous girls’ night out or mark the calendar and count down the days. Registration will be available the afternoon of the race and tables open at 3:30PM for late registration and packet pick up. Day-of registration costs $70. Save a little money and plan ahead. It costs $60 between now and August 3rd, but shirts are only guaranteed if registered before July 26th.

Cosmo 7k Saturday, August 8th

The run/walk starts and 6PM at the Artillery Barracks at the Fort Vancouver National Site (600 East Hatheway Road) in Vancouver, Washington. This mostly flat 4.35 mile run goes by the Esther Short Park, along a section of the Columbia River and by the Pearson Airport Field, so there will be plenty of scenery along the way. Cosmos start at 7PM and the awards ceremony begins at 7:30PM. Some of the proceeds will go to the Pink Lemonade Project, a program that supports those affected with breast cancer and the Fort Vancouver Trust, an organization that works to preserve the history of Fort Vancouver.  For ladies that want to make it a weekend of fun, plan on the Champagne Bike Ride on Sunday. A non-timed 20 or 35 mile bike race also organized by Energy Events rounds out the ‘party’ weekend. The Cosmo 7k is a great way to spend a summer night with girlfriends. A fun run followed with some goodies, music, and shopping with your cocktail, this will definitely be a memorable happy hour.
