The race starts and ends on the running track at Heckard Field. Runners walkers leave the stadium over a stretch of grass, and after that the route is all on very flat paved streets. About 1/2 mile into the run, you will pass the staging area of the parade that starts at 9:30am. The aid station serves only water (no fuel or bathrooms) and is located at the half way point at the corner of Toliver Rd and Ridings Ave. Just before the finish, runners cross the grass again to get back to the running track, where they will finish the race. Race timing is provided by Huber Timing, which will have results available second after you cross the line.
After the run, participants can browse the vendor tables, enjoy some post-race snacks, and check the prize table to see if they won a raffle prize. Awards will be given to the top finishers as well as age group winners. This race is a 100% non-profit event, and all proceeds are donated to the VFW and the Chamber of Commerce.
Included in the race entry is a ticket to the Buckaroo Rodeo at 1pm, so take advantage of the showers at Heckards Field to freshen up and make a day of it in Molalla.
